#ROAD TO TAHOE
#ROADTOTAHOE was the campaign that hyped up and served as the countdown to the 2019 Spartan World Championship. The 2019 Spartan World Championship was a global competition that featured the top OCR athletes from around the world in a half marathon champion obstacle course race, located at Lake Tahoe, CA.
The World Championship features an intense obstacle course race at Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, CA—boasting 4,000 ft. of elevation, unique obstacles, and the gorgeous setting of Lake Tahoe. Top OCR athletes from around the world gather to see who will have what it takes to earn the glory of being named 2019 Spartan World Champion.
Working closely with Spartan’s Art Director, I worked with the Spartan in-house design team to develop the overall look & feel of the campaign that spanned advertisements across multiple channels, including social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), banner ads, email, and web application for spartan.com.
The concept utilizes the Spartan brand color of the Beast race product, the race type of the World Championship. We sought to highlight the absolutely gorgeous and intense landscape of Lake Tahoe. We portrayed the spirit of competition and “Making Your Mark” on the Spartan legacy.
We were able to portray our narrative through a combination of effective and varied social media advertisements, banner ads seen across the web,
and dedicated email sends throughout the duration of the campaign.
Our goal was to entice the best OCR racers from across the globe to participate and share their stories of struggle and glory, as well as invite new comers of the sport to a once in a lifetime obstacle course race experience.

All advertising across our channels would be driven to our website with the intent to sign up new and pre-existing racers to one of the many Spartan races being held across the US and 40+ countries around the world.
