PEAK RACE PROMO
Peak Races is a small endurance race series operated by Spartan Race, located in Pittsfield, VT. Peak Races is very much a local, underground endurance race scene, with some of the most demanding, and intense race options for those looking to go beyond their limits.
Races include the Snow Devil Snowshoe Race (a 100-mile snowshoe race through the VT forests in February), The Spartan Death Race (a 70-hour endurance “race” that pushes competitors to their limits, perhaps even death), the Woodsplitter Mountain Bike Race (a 6-hour mountain bike event), and the Blood Root Ultra (a 500-mile ultra marathon event).
I designed race promo for the 2020 race season which includes finisher tee, lanyard, and finisher medal design. The designs are gritty, dark and “earthy crunchy” to compliment the overall extreme nature of the events, as well as the rugged and beautiful landscape of Pittsfield, VT where the events take place.
The medal design features a “stone” texture, reminiscent of the boulders and rocky terrain of the mountains of VT. This 3D effect adds another level of tactility to the already sturdy medal.
